Amazing Still Life Food Art by Arnout van Albada

See some of the amazing food art by the Dutch artist Arnout van Albada. One of his favorite things to paint is food, luckily that is also one of my favorite things. Let’s check out a few pieces of the art by Arnout.

Arnout van Albada makes minimalistic beautiful oil and egg tempera paintings of food. To me, they feel like an updated take on the classic still life paintings of fruit and vegetables. Arnout is based in Groningen where he creates the paintings that you can see below. What I like is the stillness of the paintings. It’s simply just what you see in the paintings. Very few details, warm color but you still get an instant feel for the object. See a range of Arnout van Albadas paintings below, for more you can visit him online here.

Jello, in just the right finish. Notice the light source coming in from the right side, just perfection.
